About 

Rafe Sampson is an inaugural inductee into theBroadcast Hall of Fame at Illinois State University.  He also serves on the board of directors of the Illinois Rock and Roll Museum on Route 66 and is on the Media Committee.  He is responsible for the museum's promotional copy writing and audio production, as well as programming and imaging an all-Illinois-music format for their online radio station.

With degrees in Marketing and Mass Communications, he also studied acting and has appeared in several college and community theatre productions.  Rafe honed his skills in voice acting, writing and audio production at several Chicagoland radio stations before moving on to teach voice, broadcast and production at a Chicago broadcast school.  

He left the education field to head the Audio department at Thomson NETg, a global leader in E-learning development.  At NETg he managed the Audio staff, worked with directors and the vice president to establish audio standards and practices,  narrated thousands of hours of e-learning/training material, gaining rare insight and understanding of course development and the role of narration in making training material more effective.


Rafe Sampson founded Sampson Media in 1997.  The company provides clients with effective, budget-friendly, professional voiceover/audio for commercials, documentaries, corporate imaging, product demonstration, animations, e-learning and telephony.  As a voiceover artist, clients call on him for believable, genuine, converstional, authoritative, cool or edgy sounds.  He also has done dozens of character/cartoon voices. 

Sampson Media also provides effective copy writing, video editing and consultation.
